He [God] spoke and galaxies whirled into place, stars burned in the heavens, and planets began orbiting their suns – words of awesome, unlimited, unleashed power.  He spoke again and the waters and lands were filled with plants and creatures, running, swimming, growing, multiplying – words of animating, breathing, pulsing life.  Again he spoke and man and woman were formed, thinking, speaking and loving – words of personal and creative glory.  Eternal, infinite, unlimited – He was, is and always will be the maker and Lord of all that exists”. Yamuna River – A Living Witnessed

How much are you willing to pay to show your love?

How far will you go? Would you go the extra mile?

At 5:30am on 21st of August 2018, I boarded a plane bound to Amritsar, India for a 5 days trip. The flight was approximately 3 hours from Dubai.

It was a pleasant flight because there’s no delay.  Everything was according to the timetable. At 8:30am I arrived in Amritsar, India. And I was greeted by my friend who will accompany me throughout my trip.

A part of my itinerary was to go to Taj Mahal which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I had been fascinated with it because of its beauty and grandeur. As I look back – it was a dream but now it’s a reality. I never thought that I would have a chance to be in that place.

If you happen don’t know the story – I’ll give you a snippet.

“The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, where she died giving birth”.

In my own words, the place is gorgeous; it’s magnificently built with much love and much generosity to his wife. It’s evident once you were there with your eyes looking at it and your feet on the ground. The atmosphere is very nostalgic – as if you can feel it way back century old.

Note: (I don’t insert the photo here because I give more emphasis on the river as my subject).

I was fortunate to be able to capture that scene in my photo, as it reflects the tranquility and drama of the place – the Taj Mahal, an “Epitome of Love”. It was a coincidence or a destiny to behold on that instance.

For me, there’s full of emotion filled with – that it captivates me.

To the questions I opened up in the beginning and If you allow me to leave a seed to plant in your mind and heart –

that love has no price tag;

that love is priceless;

And Love is ETERNAL.

Stay tuned for more insightful photos. THANK YOU 🙏 !!!

A Thank You

It’s been more than a week now since I published my first blog Today is the beginning of my journey……– I was skeptical so to speak at that time. There were apprehension and lots of things ramming to my mind. A mixed feeling such “Is blogging is my kind of stuff?” “Am I ready to do this?” Do I have the guts and skills?” so many questions popping out.

But I’m glad that I hit that button because of the response I received from you.

I know there’s still a lot MORE to learn, MORE to improve, and MORE to prove. And also there will be a time of exhaustion and discouragement, frustration and failures along the way. But let me quote the words, I said in my profile – “I’m willing to endure until I find my core”.

Now, with full sincerity, humility and gratefulness to you all – a big THANK YOU!!!.

Because without your help and support, I won’t be able to achieve this milestone of mine personally.

Stay tuned for more photos with a story.

Flowers by the Dessert

As I have promised in My camera is my paintbrush……..

I was having a photo walk in Corniche Park in Abu Dhabi at that time but unfortunately, I couldn’t find any good subject.

So I turn my attention to the grass and flowers around the vicinity but that time it was not their season too – so feeling frustrated.

But still, I tried to capture a shot again and again – still not satisfied with the results.

Then I remember during my workshop way back in 2012, the tilting/shaking/rotating of the camera.

I applied the approach – at first it’s quite okay I find it interesting somehow looks like an abstract painting. Then after some adjustment of the setting (shutter speed+aperture) and perfect timing then finally I got it.

Analogy of a Photo

I was on my way to work at around 6:00am on 15th September 2018 when suddenly my phone beeps.  I parked my car and looked at the screen.  It was my officemate who took his annual vacation.

“Hi, are you off today? his message.

“No I’m not off today” I replied without telling him that I’m on my way to work. Luckily I’m not far from where I usually picked him up so I make a “U-turn” and drove away to his place.

I looked at my watch I’m 30mins ahead.

So I decided to park and switch off the engine and got off the car.

Feeling restless I was walking back and forth with my phone in my hand scrolling up and down.

Suddenly I saw a tree with its texturized body so I took a shot from a different perspective when all of the sudden by chance I found this part of the tree.

I took a close-up shot with my phone.

I was mesmerized by the texture – my instinct in photography jolted me to take a snapshot though I didn’t bring my DSLR.

I don’t want to miss the chance to take that moment and being able to share with you the experiences so I decided to take a snapshot despite.

My question – what comes to your mind upon seeing the photo?”

So, what’s your thought???? – Well, I leave it up to you.

I know we have a very fertile imagination.

I hope it brings a little smile to your face as you read it.

Kaleidoscopic Personalities

Passers-by

“All flesh is grass, and all its beauty like the flower of the field; grass withers and flowers fade” (Isaiah 40:6,7)”.

We are all passers-by

one day we will depart

to reach our destination.

All things we possess

will be left behind

bring nothing – only our soul.

One will be ahead of the other

gradually memories will be

long forgotten …….
